SPIRIT OF WRITING [SOW]
Spoken Word Series This foundation course will assist you to develop your writing skills, improve the delivery of your material and engage your audience...taking your performance skills to the next level. This course has been written for writers by writers and will be held over six weeks starting on 9th February 2010, giving you practical guidance in the writing and performance of your material. This course will work with you as you gain a deeper understanding of the craft of writing, how to use rhythm to your advantage when writing and get the opportunity to work with musicians as you learn how to blend your delivery style with music. Following on from the Performance of Spoken Word Foundation course, Part II is the next stage. [This course is open to all, but if you did not attend our Foundation Course, you will need to have had some previous spoken word experience which includes at least 6 months performance on a circuit.] This is an intensive six week workshop style course which is very hands-on. Participants will workshop their material on a weekly basis. |
